Questions about coverage?
We will always be here for you!
We are glad to see so many uninsured people are enrolling in health insurance exchanges. Many of our patients, however, are ineligible for the exchanges or can not use their health insurance: victims of domestic violence, teenagers, undocumented immigrants, and recent immigrants with low income. Even those who can enroll in the exchanges are likely to face deductibles and co-pays ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars, which they may be unable to pay. We are still here for those who need us most. No insurance? No problem!
The nature of the health care we provide and the patients we see require a more hands-on approach than most doctors’ offices provide. Reproductive health is multi-faceted and can be difficult to understand for people with limited English proficiency or little health education. Our dedicated clinicians take the time necessary to ensure our patients have complete care and the best available information about their health, regardless of whether insurance will reimburse for that time.
We welcome those patients who have insurance through the Exchanges while we continue to serve those who cannot afford to pay. Family Planning of South Central New York never turns anyone away, regardless of insurance or income. We thank our donors who recognize the vital role that Family Planning continues to play in the new health care environment.
